Ghost Hunting Vigil Experiments
With Phil Whyman
| During your Dead Haunted event you have the opportunity to take part in a number of paranormal experiments. | |
| Séance Perhaps one of the best known spirit communication methods, the Séance reached the heights of popularity in the Victorian era. Participants can be either seated or standing, and link hands to form a circle. The séance leader then attempts to communicate with whatever spirits are supposedly haunting the location. This is a traditional communication method. |

| Glass Work / Glass Divination Another experiment aimed at spirit interaction. Traditionally, an empty wine glass is turned upside down on a tabletop and participants gently place their finger tips on the edge of the glass. The experiment leader then asks for spirit to interact with the group by moving the glass, often in response to questions. |

| Trigger Object Experiment This is perhaps one of the simplest experiments to do. Take a small item and a white piece of paper. Place the paper on a flat, steady surface and place the item onto it. Draw around the item and leave in place on the paper; the experiment is set. Check back periodically to look for movement of the item. Again, this is an experiment to try and get spirits to interact by moving the item. |

| Automatic Writing Another traditional experiment. Using an object called a planchette which is designed to hold a pencil or pen participants place this onto a sheet of paper and ask for spirits to communicate with them via moving the planchette. Any movement results in the pen writing on the paper which the planchette is placed upon. |
|
| Pendulum Work Using a pendulum which is held over a card or piece of cloth with answers written on it (Yes, No, Maybe, Rephrase, Will not Answer), participants ask out questions which spirits answer by moving the pendulum towards a corresponding reply on the card. |
